Job Description

Oracle EBS Business Analyst / Consultant - HYBRID WORKINGOne of our top tier clients is looking for an experiencedOracle EBS Business Analyst / Consultant to come and join them at a time massive growth.   • To understand Finance business objectives, processes and procedures and the systems that support them.
  • To define finance business requirements with key business people. To agree the functional design with them. To convert the functional requirements into acceptable system designs with the technical IS teams.
  • To define the finance business acceptance criteria with key business people. To define, review and support the execution of the IS integration and systems testing to ensure the finance functional requirements are met by the IS solution. To define, reviewand support the execution of the user acceptance plans to get finance team, business sign off for the system.
  • To monitor Finance activities in the clients systems and develop processes to ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial data and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used to inform finance teams of business activities.
Principal Accountabilities
  • To be the ICT subject matter expert for the Oracle EBS Commercial integrations and maintain the integration design documentation.
  • Closely partner the Business System Accountants & support the monitoring of integration to Oracle EBS. Work with them to understand the root-cause of any integration failure and resolve any ICT defect or design issues.
  • To develop a good general knowledge in the clients overall Oracle Financial solution
  • Triage Oracle helpdesk tickets with an ICT Integration element and design corrective solutions. Work with all support teams to ensure tickets are progressed & successfully closed in a timely manner
  • Help manage the ICT Work Request process for user requests for integration changes or new functionality. Provide design input to all other ICT projects that require Finance system integrations. Through knowledge of the systems landscape suggest alternativecourses of action.
  • To develop a good general knowledge in Sales Order and Finished Goods Inventory Management (RAS) for areas of finance functionality. Complement this by understanding the manufacturing data supplied to Oracle EBS from the plant systems.
  • To document all Finance Business requirements in any Commercial ICT project and design functional solutions to meet them within agreed time scales, costs and department standards to achieve quality levels and business benefits.
  • To estimate the time needed to complete finance integration requirements gathering, design and testing tasks and provide input into the project planning process to produce accurate plans for major projects.
  • Engage in any workshops with a Finance Commercial integration element to support ICT & Business project teams with requirements, functional design and UAT workshops to accurately record requirements, functional solutions, test plans and acceptance requirementsto ensure that the solution meets the finance team requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Knowledge of SQL & ability with tools - SQL enterprise manager, Toad or SQLDev.
  • Knowledge of VBA
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS.
  • Strong interpersonal skillstenacity, persuasion, negotiation, assertiveness
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical customers at all levels
  • Strong business acumen, with the proven ability to translate design requirements into practical applications
  • Proven ability to converse strategically with colleagues to establish effective alternative solutions
  • Good presentation skills
  • Has functional knowledge of processes in several business areas in a manufacturing environment
  • Design skills to create and implement high resilience on-line and batch, file based and database applications
  • Has the skills to evaluate and negotiate with suppliers of services, software tools and hardware
  • Knowledge of OO Design concepts would be advantageous
  • Prepared to travel globally (holder of a clean driving licence)
