Job Description

Job descriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for aProduct Inspectorto join our Inspection team. TheProduct Inspector will be supporting theQuality Departmentin reviewing and reporting of defects on current and incomingshipments of finished harnesses. We are looking for person to work with niche products, with involve electrical and electronic components. Product Inspector role working days:Mon-Friwith the salary range£10.33-15.50 p/h, easy access to the public transport and flexible start times between 7-7:30am. Early finish every Friday, Temp to Perm Contract.About the CompanyThe North-Tyneside-based manufacturer of industrial engine controls and instrumentation, wiring systems, harnesses, and sensors.Established in 1984, partof a global manufacturing business with sites in the UK, US, Africa, and Asia.The business manufactures components that are supplied into performance critical sectors such as Power Generation, Marine and Renewable Energy.Location:NE27 0QFMain duties and responsibilities

  • Have good understanding of good and bad quality
  • Reporting of defects and feedback with other facilities to review and agree corrective action
  • Support additional containment of stock and incoming products to screen out known issues, preventing them reaching final customer
  • Compilation, reporting and analysis of internal quality defects
  • Reviewing current work practices to identify areas in which product quality could be improved
  • Working with manufacturing team to review and agree corrective action on internal and external defects
  • Supporting the Quality Engineers in the investigations and resolution of Internal and Customer raised Quality defects
  • Data collection, preparation, and submission to support PPAP and Source Release requirements for key customers
  • To display the proper attitude and behaviour, job knowledge, and effective communication to build good working relationships between departments
  • Audit tasks carried out on a timely and accurate basis
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Previous experience in quality control
  • Thorough product and process knowledge
  • Pro-Active, selfmotivated and knows when to seek guidance
  • Ability to understand drawings and wiring schematics
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Not essential as internal training will be provided)
