The Recruitment Co are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client based in New Mills & Middlewich, who are a market leader in the confectionery industry.You will be a member of a team of Electrical Maintenance Engineers that ensuresproactive response to maintenance and breakdowns on both sites on 7 days a week shift pattern between 6am -10pm.Supporting the Operations team to achieve compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime, increasing availability, performance, and efficiency of the existing assets through continuous improvement techniques.Providing effective, efficient, timely response to plant breakdowns &ensuring planned maintenance is completed on time and in full as per thesite PPM requirements.Responsibilities & Duties:Maintain a clean, safe & organised working environmentAlways demonstrate safe behaviours and conform to all safe systems of workSupport a culture that enhances awareness to reduce accidents and near missesCarry out duties ensuring the site achieves and maintains required GMP standardsProvide cover on 4 days on 4 days off basis, overtime availableCarryout project work as directed including panel building.Attend machinery breakdowns & ensure that all measures taken are recorded on CMMS (Shire)Provide first line maintenance support to the manufacturing departmentsLine monitoring to improve efficiencyCarry out planned/scheduled maintenance tasks & record work done or required on CMMSProvide feedback for improving the planned maintenance systemRecord planned maintenance tasks & breakdowns on the CMMS Order spare parts & liaise with Engineering StoresLiaise with contractors & issue permits (if trained)Assist with machinery installation and decommissioningParticipate in electrical and mechanical proactive and reactive maintenance to the best of your capabilityDiagnose machine breakdowns and act accordinglyTo communicate and escalate accordingly when assistance is requiredCarry out routine equipment safety and maintenance inspectionsEnsure all work conforms to statutory & safety requirementsEnsure that plant and equipment perform to manufacture products efficiently to high quality standards.To liaise, assist with training and support other departments in general running of the factory.Undertake the training of others as required for development and regulatory requirementsIdentify own training needs and with managers agree a time plan for achieving this.Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, safety, efficiency and waste reduction.Participate in Continuous Improvement teams as requiredCommunicate daily with Team Leaders & Managers to ensure project and plannedmaintenance, engineering and production priorities are understood.To coach and train colleagues where required cover for the Team leader if requiredKey skills required for the role:To demonstrate the company values dailyBe punctual & reliableComputer literate, able to use Microsoft Office & mobile device comfortablyGood written and verbal communication skillsGood organisational skillsHighly motivated & a good work ethicGood fault finding & problem-solving skillsHave an open learning mindsetAbility to work alone or as part of a team under pressureRational, logical detailed & uses a risk-based approach to decision making.Will challenge status quo to drive continuous improvementWorking hours & Remuneration:4 days on 4 days off06.00-18.00 and 10.00-22-0042-hour weekly averageGrade and pay rates as contractually agreedAll agreed company benefits, pension, paid holidays, sick pay scheme as stated in the employee handbookThe salary is £45,500 per annumThe Recruitment Co are an equal opportunities employerCPManchesterGSThe Recruitment Co. is an equal opportunities employer and were committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
