Job Description

Position: Deputy Technical Service ManagerLocation: Newport, Wales32k Plus excellent benefitsYou will be the initial point of contact for events, both internal and external and project manage those events from a technical standpoint, as directed by the Technical Services Manager or Head of Technical Services. You will be one of the first to assist,support and deputise for where required, the Technical Services Manager with the provision of technical services to ICC Wales clients - including all the production requirements for in-house conferences and events, and to facilitate the requirements of externalproduction companies producing conferences conventions, exhibitions or events throughout the center.

  • Assist the Technical Service Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing technical projects in accordance with company objectives and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and timely resolution of issues.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to support their professional development and growth.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, quality control measures, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, with a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
