Job Description

SME Automotive Business Sales ManagerLocation: Nantwich, CheshireSalary: Based on experience, plus benefits packageContract: Full Time, PermanentReturn on Investment Limited (ROI) is a highly regarded supplier to the automotive industry. We have c.300 people working with some major, global accounts including BMW, Honda, Kia, PSA Groupe and Volkswagen Group.This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the automotive industry for a market leading sales support agency. You will be working remotely from home due to COVID-19 pandemic but there may be a future requirement to be based from our office in Nantwich.The purpose of the role is to increase sales for ROI’s clients. This is achieved by managing the entire customer journey from initial engagement through to purchase, providing product information, demonstrations or meetings as appropriately required.This role will put you at the forefront of managing SME business customers through the sales journey right from our initial contact to quoting for the vehicle. As a result, we are looking for applications from people interested in having a busy, challenging role with high levels of customer contact and accountability across the sales process. Candidates should be able to identify, through thorough qualification whether an opportunity may ultimately result in sales and take the appropriate action to maximise those leads.As our SME Automotive Business Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Promoting the sale of vehicles - providing ready-to-quote or ready-to-order leads to Retailers by managing the customer journey from qualification to quote, providing product information, demonstrations or consultation over quote configuration as appropriately required
  • Conducting multi-mode meetings with SME decision makers - holding structured telephone meetings and virtual meetings with SME decision makers to help influence sales
  • Providing vehicle demonstrations to potential customers - organising the seamless delivery and collection of appropriate demonstration models for brand vehicles
  • Delivering agreed targets consistently and in line with client requirements
  • Building a pipeline of prospect opportunities - seeking new conquest business by actively managing a pipeline of prospect data to generate sales opportunities
  • Working in partnership with Retailers - forging trusted Retailer relationships to maximise opportunities for existing customers and prospects
  • This is an exciting and varied role. The successful candidate will possess:
  • Excellent telephone manner and the ability to get to the root cause of customer’s issues/needs
  • Good sales skills, particularly the ability to identify opportunities
  • Superb communication skills, able to influence, persuade and effectively handle a range of objections
  • Great presentation skills, ideally having experience using communication platforms such as Zoom or Skype
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to manage a database
  • Strong organisational skills, or evidence of logical thinking
  • Good knowledge of the fleet industry or a genuine interest in cars / ability to assimilate the brand quickly and effectively
  • Positivity and resilience. This will be challenging work, so possessing a positive disposition will be key
