Your future employer is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join and thrive in their innovative manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who values contemporary ideas, improvements, and has a great understandingof the food manufacturing industry. Given the nature of this position, we are offering a strong salary for this role of £46k-£489k per annum for the ideal candidate. The shift for this position is 4 on 4 off, covering both days and nights, with optional overtimeavailable but not required. The successful candidate will be working within the engineering team and will be reporting directly to the engineering manager. Given the business style, engineering experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment is highly desired. The expected duties and ideal experience for the successful candidate are as follows:Main duties for the engineer include:* Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance* Carrying out preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance* Planning maintenance* Fault finding and troubleshooting* Controlling and ordering parts* Working on PLC* Calibration of equipment* Implementing continuous improvement projects* Assessing equipment and identify repairs required* Driving OEE improvements for the production linesSkills and experienced required/desired of the successful engineer:* 1 year engineering experience working in an FMCG manufacturing environment (food, drink, etc.)* A time served Engineering Apprenticeship and/or Engineering Qualification * 18th Edition (desired)* Previous PLC experience* Good communication and people skills to work as part of a team* Strong record keeping skillsThe ideal candidate for this position will be someone who is looking for a company to truly invest in, develop and progress themselves, and help the company grow.
