Junior QA/Tester - Cheshire - JIRAExcellent opportunity for an entry-level Testing professional to join a thriving FS business in Cheshire. This is an opportunity to join their team of 5 QA/Test Analysts to help them continue to deliver cutting edge technical solutions for the business. Based in an attractive area of Cheshire, easily commutable from Chester, Crewe and South Manchester.DescriptionJunior QA/Tester - Cheshire - JIRAThis is a really exciting time to join an established Testing team and progress your skills to become an experienced and creative software tester. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Create and maintain test plans and cases that are well structured, adhere to standards, and can be easily followed.
  • Work closely with the software development team and QA peers to help deliver high quality solutions in a timely manner.
  • Raise potential technical issues with the appropriate development team member.
  • Consider system performance, resilience, and capacity requirements when testing software.
  • Log and track defects on the companies defect tracking system.
  • Review project progress and feedback honest status reports to the appropriate lead of the project; Lead Software Developer, or Senior Software Developers, or Project Management.
  • Be able to meet tight deadlines whilst adhering to industry standards in an FCA regulated environment.
  • ProfileThe successful candidate will be a graduate with a passion for Technology and a strong eye for detail. You must have at least 6 months experience in a software testing/QA related role.
  • Strong academic background inclusive of University bachelors degree (2.1 Minimum)
  • 6 months + experience within a Junior QA / testing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to efficiently manage your workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience of using JIRA and Zephyr for creating test cases would be good, but not essential.
  • Please note: A Bachelors degree is an essential criteria for this role. We cannot accept applications from candidates who do not hold a completed degree.
