Finance ApprenticeLocation: Home working (Nantwich).Salary: up to £18,000 + Benefits.Contract: Full time, permanent.Return on Investment is a market-leading, pioneering business based in Nantwich in South Cheshire employing over 300 employees across five locations. As the business is increasingly large and complex, we are looking to add to our finance function by recruiting a Finance Apprentice to support the existing team.It is expected that the Finance Apprentice will undertake accredited training at NVQ level or higher in a relevant discipline (AAT, CIMA) and progress to becoming a Finance Assistant.Key responsibilities include:• Supporting the Finance Supervisor with the data entry of financial information into Sage• Checking and processing invoices, and preparation of monthly sales invoices• Administration of Purchase Orders (POs)• Supporting other areas of the business with finance queries• Answering enquiries from suppliers and customers• General administrative support within the finance team.You will be given full training to enable you to quickly contribute to the finance team.Applicants should be able to demonstrate:• Excellent attention to detail, particularly numeracy• A good academic track record with a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C / 4, including Maths and English• High personal standards; you will be required to maintain utmost professional discretion at all times• The aptitude and willingness to learn accountancy basics• It will help your application to have used Sage or comparable system, in addition to MS Office programs, particularly Excel• Organised and methodical with the ability to learn and follow finance / internal processes• Good communication skills and calmness under-pressure.Overall, you should be able to work quickly and accurately, taking pride in your work.
