We have more than 4,000 dedicated colleagues, at 14 locations across the country, all sharing the same obsession for our great food.Job description:Health & Safety Environmental AdvisorBased in Moreton (Wirral)Purpose:Todevelop and provide technical and legislative expertise on all H&S matters.The H&S Advisor will play a key role in supporting the site to ensure regulatory compliance.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review internal EHS policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; ensure hazard and risk assessments are conducted and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments, ensuring that employees are properly informed.

Take lead as a subject matter expert of the sites PUWER risk assessment project.

Take lead as a subject matter expert of the sites safe isolation project.

Support the implementation and maintenance of the HSE management system (OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems).

Reporting on the performance of the Management System and continuous improvement objectives

Identify, review and assess relevant legislation and other requirements

Advising stakeholders on information pertinent to Health & Safety and Environmental issues

Preparation and maintenance of Corporate documents and procedures for Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Systems

Lead in the development of Health & Safety and Environmental Procedures

Supporting the Internal Audit Programme

Supporting operations in OHS and Environmental matters

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES:

To hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and at least 5 years of relevant experience in an HSE role

Must have experience and significant understanding of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)

To have a real passion for H & S

Be eligible to work in the UK/ possess a UK Work permit

membership status of IOSH is desirable

Good understanding of OHSAS 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

Strong knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation

Understanding and experience of internal and external auditing and inspection

Minimum intermediate level skills in all Microsoft software.

Project management and organisational skills
