Job Description

You will join Biogen to support the Financial Controller in the statutory reporting elements of the Company and its Groups.Financial Accountant Responsibilities:You will produce financial statements for all companies within the Group, complete Treasury and cashflow forecasting to aid management decisions. Have responsibility for capex control and reporting in the business and partnering with the Central Operationsteam to ensure strong budget control. Prepare and submit the VAT returns and balance sheet reconciliations.Liaise with the external auditors during the year end audit process and work closely with the Senior Management Accountant and AP/AR Manager to resolve any queries. Assist with complex intercompany transactions, the production of budget and forecasts and managethe inter-company loans and interest paymentsSupport the Financial Controller and Finance Director with any ad-hoc analysis required.Financial Accountant Requirements:Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with proven experience of dealing with HMRC and external auditors. Previous experience within a technical FRS102 role is essential, along with strong Excel modelling and Word skills.Ideal role for an experienced financial accountantThis role will be office based, with some remote working due to COVID-19.About Biogen (UK) Ltd:Biogen is the UKs leader in anaerobic digestion (AD) and one of the largest independent AD operators in the UK.
