Job Description

Looking for a new challengeWere working with a really slick, super innovative Medical Device manufacturer who are looking to add a Usability & Human Factors Design Engineer to their Human Factors team. Your main job will be to support usability and human factors activities in MedicalDevice Design from concept through to completion. Ideally youll hold a real interest in Healthcare technology and human factors.Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that user requirements have been identified and met in the design of the device.
  • Generation of project documentation in line with medical device regulatory requirements.
  • To develop, conduct and analyse user studies and evaluations to assess the usability and safety of medical devices.
  • Contributing to the design of the companies Usability process.
Ideally youll have:
  • Demonstrable experience or relevant qualifications in Human Factors, Product Design, Industrial Design, Psychology or Engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of medical device product design development process.
  • Experience with Solidworks, or relevant CAD software, rapid prototyping and testing the use of devices.
  • An understanding of Human Factors principles including UFMEA.
