Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Officer to oversee product quality within our organisation, ensuring that our products meet high-quality standards and align with company strategy. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellenceand requires a professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement. Day to Day of the role:

Conduct pre and post-production quality checks, ensuring all products meet the required standards.
Identify and address quality issues, collaborating with colleagues to rectify any problems swiftly.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding quality concerns, product damage, and production processes.
Maintain accurate quality records, including compliance, non-conformance, and root cause analysis.
Support the production team by providing coaching and training to minimise errors.
Assist with internal and external audits and support the implementation of new quality standards.
Provide KPI data and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in a production/manufacturing environment, preferably with concrete and steel products.
Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes in a production setting is desirable.
Ability to read and interpret quality and specification data, including drawings and production schedules.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to coach and support colleagues.

Benefits:

Pay: £16.00 per hour rising to £16.50 on the successful completion of a 3-month probation – paid weekly
