Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Officer to oversee product quality within our organisation, ensuring that our products meet high-quality standards and align with company strategy. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellenceand requires a professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement. Day to Day of the role:

  • Conduct pre and post-production quality checks, ensuring all products meet the required standards.
  • Identify and address quality issues, collaborating with colleagues to rectify any problems swiftly.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding quality concerns, product damage, and production processes.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, including compliance, non-conformance, and root cause analysis.
  • Support the production team by providing coaching and training to minimise errors.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and support the implementation of new quality standards.
  • Provide KPI data and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment, preferably with concrete and steel products.
  • Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes in a production setting is desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret quality and specification data, including drawings and production schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to coach and support colleagues.
Benefits:
  • Pay: £16.00 per hour rising to £16.50 on the successful completion of a 3-month probation – paid weekly
