Job Description

Maintenance Engineer - Lathe Area Department£30,000-£40,000 per annumMonday to Friday 0800-1630Based in MildenhallJoin our clients team as a Maintenance Technician, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of their Multispindle Lathe Machines. With 5-10 years of maintenance experience in a production environment, youll diagnose faults, conduct repairs, andcontribute to process improvements. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, maintaining 16 Multispindle Lathe Machines and associated equipment
  • Receive comprehensive on-the-job training and guidance to excel within our team.
  • Assisting in maintaining and troubleshooting Lathe Machines and Ancillary Equipment.
  • Diagnosing machine faults and conducting necessary repairs.
  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks and updating records using maintenance software.
  • Supporting Service Engineer visits.
  • Identifying spare part requirements to sustain uninterrupted production.
  • Contributing to process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Providing maintenance support across different departments as needed.
Qualifications & Experience: We are seeking candidates who:
  • Possess experience with general workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Have a minimum of 5-10 years maintenance experience in a production environment, preferably in a 24/7 operational setting.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in machine troubleshooting and repair.
  • Are disciplined, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Are willing to work outside regular hours when required.
  • Display flexibility and readiness to support various business functions in a maintenance capacity.
  • Have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
