Job Description

Serve Talent are proud to be working exclusively with a successful manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Senior Production Engineer for their facility based in Mildenhall, Suffolk.Reporting into the Engineering Manager and working alongside the wider Engineering team, you’ll be as part of a team maintain a number of multi spindle lathe machines and associated equipment, all of which function on a 24/7 basis.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Multi spindle Lathe Department.
  • Investigate and where possible offer suggestions for process improvements and/or cost reductions.
  • Assist Lathe Machine production when necessary to maintain production output.
  • Diagnose faults and repair Lathe Machines and associated Equipment.
  • Provide assistance as and when required to any and all members of the Multi spindle Lathe team.
    • Ideally youll have:
  • Experience in using a range of tool room / work shop based machinery.
  • A very good mechanical aptitude and be able todiagnose faults associated with Machine Wear and Component Quality.
  • At least 5 years experience of working in a production environment, preferably on a 24/7 or at the very least, a shift type basis.
  • Be available, as part of a team, to support the Multispindle Lathe Department as and when necessary outside of normal working hours.
  • Be familiar with ISO9001.
