Job Description

Our client, a well-respected removals company, are looking for and experienced Import Export Supervisor to join their team based in Mildenhall, Suffolk.Responsibilities:

  • Training and supervision of Move Coordinators daily duties.
  • Monitor staff operations and system procedures to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Company Manual and expectations.
  • Consultations from H.M. Customs, as well as tariff calculations and submissions.
  • Closely monitor shipment operations and schedules.
  • Customer complaints are handled, addressed, and measured.
  • Analysing the Departments need for any corrective or preventative measures.
  • Discuss rates with contractors.
  • Agent quotes are calculated and presented.
  • Authorizations for purchase invoices.
  • Invoicing.
  • Auditing of internal files.
  • Prepare and send a Department Profit & Loss statement to Managers monthly.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within the removals or shipping industry is required
  • Supervisory and people skills are important.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level.
  • Computer and literacy skills are essential.
  • Confident and courteous communicator, well-organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Where new procedures are necessary, the ability and initiative to implement or adapt new processes is required.
