Job Description

The Company:Working for a national company from their Exeter head office, supporting the UK operations in all aspects of HR, but focussing onemployment law, employee relations, and the provision of HR advice to all 300 employees across the UK. You will work with an inspiring HRManager and be an extremely hands on generalist with a ‘can do’attitude.Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a proactive member of the HR team, supporting theHR Manageras required to meet the business objectives of the department and the Company.
  • Work collaboratively with managers over multiple Employee Relations issues across a national business, ensuring the correct handling of disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and other HR procedures.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and processes are consistently, fairly and professionally applied in line with current legislation and company policy.
  • Take overarching responsibility of all aspects of HR administration delegating appropriate tasks to the HR administrator.
Preferred Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of UK employment law as this role focusses on ER issues.
  • Experience of providing operational advice on a range of employment matters to managers and employees.
  • A CIPD qualification or willingness to study is preferable, although not essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with managers and employees all levels.
  • Confident and articulate verbal communicator with all levels of managers and employees.
  • Ability to influence employees of all levels.
  • Ability to compose accurate, clear and concise written communications via letter and email.
  • Able to work under pressure (deadlines and workload)
Working Hours:8-5 Monday to Friday
