Job Description

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer for our client Akzonobel / Dulux to cover the South-West of England. You will need to have experience of servicing complex electromechanical machinery as this role will be to support the clients TintingService equipment.You will be paid £15.50ph (£30,225 per annum) and will work 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday overtime. This is initially a 12-month position with the potential to become longer term or even perm for the right candidate. You willget a Ford Transit van and fuel card for business use.Duties:To perform highly diversified tasks to maintain, repair, troubleshoot and install colour mixing assets according to safety, and relevant processes and procedures.Inspect diagnoses and test equipmentPerform planned maintenance activities to keep the colour mixing system operating safely and efficiently plus avoiding downtimeProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of colour mixing equipment installed within a designated list of accounts/customers on a defined engineer area.To manage & control own workload to ensure breakdown response targets & contractual service agreements are met, while controlling costs & giving world class support to customers.Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of colour mixing machines.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area including vehicle.Skills / Experience required:

  • You must hold a full driving licence
  • Minimum GCSE /O level educational standard or equivalent to include Maths, English & a Science.
  • Demonstrable experience of servicing complex electromechanical machinery, preferably computer controlled tinting systems and/or relevant engineering qualification or an engineering apprenticeship.
  • Networking installation/maintenance
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined and able to manage own area effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility - planned activity can change at a moments notice dependant on the needs of the business.
  • Understanding of all Retail and Trade tinting products.
  • Adherence to HSE legislation and company procedures
