Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join a successful and growing business on the outskirts of Exeter. As a vital part of the Compliance Team, the main purpose of this role is to ensure that the business complies with its legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal processes.You will be integral in supporting the achievement of annual compliance objectives. You will work closely with the Group Head of Quality and Compliance and other department heads to understand their internal and external requirements and implement effective measures to ensure they are met.The ideal candidate will be a confident, professional, and self-motivated team player with a keen interest in the business, legal and regulatory requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a role which will continue to offer new challenges over time.Responsibilities will include:

  • Support in the implementation and improvement of management system processes
  • Develop an annual audit schedule and conduct internal audits
  • Communicate applicable compliance guidelines, requirements, and standards to the wider team
  • Respond to client queries, including completing compliance questionnaires and responding to queries relating to Data Protection and Data Subjects Rights
  • Collect and coordinate internal compliance data
  • Provide administrative support to the Group Head of Quality and Compliance
  • Act as the compliance representative in projects, working to the scrum framework
    • Requirements will include:
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Experience working in the following areas would be beneficial: ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation, Internal and External Audits, Technology/ Software, Domiciliary and Residential Care
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can work under pressure to tight deadlines
