Job Description

Found Recruitment Solutions are delighted to partner with a leading Welding and Fabrications business based in Kent. We’re on the lookout for an experienced and professional Welding and Fabrications Engineer to join this outstanding team.Working on a Monday to Friday, day shift basis and paid for 47.5 hours a week on rates, up to £18.50 per hour. This is a wonderful opportunity for a hard working and career driven individual to really increase their earning potential without sacrificingthere evenings or weekends!To apply for the role of Welding and Fabrications Engineer, you should have a solid understanding of the following:

  • MIG and TIG welding on sheet, bars and box sections
  • Comfortable with the fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel and Aluminium
  • Proffient in the reading of technical drawings
  • Health and safety regulations proficiencies
During the working day as a Welding and Fabrications Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Preparation duties; prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting to ensure proper fit and alignment for welding.
  • Selecting Welding Equipment; choose appropriate welding tools and equipment based on the type of metal, thickness, and welding technique required.
  • Welding Techniques; perform various welding techniques, such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), Tig Aluminium and Stick welding, depending on the project specifications.
  • Assembly and Fabrication; assemble and fabricate metal components by welding them together according to engineering specifications.
  • Quality Control; inspect welded joints for accuracy, completeness, and structural integrity. Ensure that welds meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Welding Safety; adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
