Job Description

Were looking for a GPR Surveyor/Operator to join our UKPN team based in either Sussex/Kent or Cambridge/Bury St Edmunds area.Location: Various locations can be based from Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds - regular travel to various sites will be required, a company van will be issued.Contract: Permanent – full time - we can offer flexibility with start and finish times if required.Salary: up to £40,000 per annum depending on experienceWhat will you be responsible forWe are seeking to appoint a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Surveyor to join our team. As a GPR Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting subsurface investigations using GPR technology to detect and map underground utilities, structures, and geologicalfeatures.Your day to day will include:

  • Conduct GPR surveys to identify and map subsurface features, including utilities, foundations, and geological anomalies in accordance with PAS 128. When required mark out service locations.
  • Operate GPR equipment efficiently and effectively, ensuring accurate data collection. When required utilise CAT & Genny to supplement GPR data, and keep abreast of advancements in GPR technology and surveying techniques, integrating new knowledge intodaily practices.
  • Use GPS equipment to record existing utilities when uncovered in the works or trial holes and to record as built positions of new works.
  • Place safety at the heart of everything we do and undertake. Is responsible for own safety, that of others on site and the public.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to other site team members and stakeholders.

  • Have proven experience in a Utilties environment
  • CSCS holder / EUSR SHEA Power or equivalent basic H&S proven knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence holder.
