You will be joining a busy Maintenance department, where you will be working within an environmentresponsible for the maintenance, repair andperformance of all machinery associated with the recycling and production of PVCu products and site services.Established in 1995 as a PVC-U extrusion business, Eurocell Recycle (Formerly known as Merritt Plastics) specialise in producing high-volume rigid products, extruded using recycled material processed at our own plant.At the forefront of PVC-U waste recycling, our advanced closed-loop recycling system, old PVC-U and off-cuts from fabrication processes are not just recycled, but turned back into brand new extruded plastic productsall at the same site.Eurocell have a great opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at Ilkeston where you will support with the maintenance of all PVCu production machinery, ensuring the department operates efficiently.Shifts4 days on, 4 days off shift basis - Rotating Days and Nights 0700-1900.Duties:Maintenance of DC motors and associated drives.Maintenance of process control equipment.Electrical installations and/or mechanical installation work.Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance systems (mechanical and electrical).Breakdown maintenance involving fault finding on industrial and process control systems.Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on PVCu extrusion plant and equipment.Liaison with contractors and suppliers.Ordering of new/replacement equipment.Issuing of work permitsInvolves travel across multi-sites in Alfreton (vehicle provided)Key Skills / Experience:Significant Mechanical and Electrical installation and maintenance experience gained in a manufacturing environment is essentialRecognised electrical / mechanical maintenance apprenticeship / training schemeLogical problem solving approachUnderstand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawingsMaintenance and repair of PLC systemsThe successful candidate will have good communication skills and have a proactive, logical problem solving approach to tasksDriving licenseBenefits:You will be rewarded with a competitive basic salaryA solid career pathway and structured progressionEmployee discount on Eurocell productsLife AssurancePension PlanEmployee Assistance ProgrammeDiscounts across many well-known online and high street retailers (Technology, Fashion, Supermarkets, Entertainment, Days Out, Home and Travel)Sharesthe option to join the Eurocell Share Save Scheme, and share the company successA blend of training, including e-learning and on the job training to help your career developmentThis role offers fantastic opportunity to progress within the Eurocell Group.COVID: Like most businesses, Eurocell have adapted our ways of working and environment to ensure that you, our customers, our colleagues and families are safe.
