Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Bell Truck and Van | BLS Truck and Van for a Trainee Accounts Assistant to support the finance team in the accounts function based at our Longbenton / Team Valley Head Office.We are growing, and we want individuals who can grow with us.   • To provide Bell Truck and Van management with an adequate supply of information to ensure the present and future profitability of the organisation and to highlight any forthcoming issues.
  • To maintain all administration processes for the business to ensure all debtors, creditors and stock are properly controlled.
  • To ensure the daily system backups are carried out
  • To act upon the systems daily error/reconciliation reports
  • To assist in the preparation of monthly and annual accounts
  • To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Company/MB in order to assist the company achieve it objectives
  • To maintain working capital reporting and vehicle cash flow
  • Responsible for supporting credit card management
  • Support the management of expenses & payments
  • Posting of daily cash sheets
  • Providing Purchase Ledger cover
  • Processing contingency documents and filing duties
  • Consolidated billing errors
  • Responsible for fuel analysis reporting
  • To provide management of the fuel cards
  • Premier Inn reporting
  • Tyne tunnel top ups and reporting and management of petty cash
  • To assist with raising manual invoices and recharges and vehicle receipts e-mails
  • Providing bank reconciliation cover
  • To carry out all duties in an efficient and courteous manner and ensure all queries are dealt with promptly
  • To attend company/MB meetings and training courses as and when appropriate
  • To ensure that all paperwork associated with the department is completed correctly and passed to the correct department on time
  • To adhere to time schedules and all targets where appropriate
ne1The hours for this role are 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
