As our new Interaction Designer, you will be: Part of a brilliant User Centred Design community. Using data, research and analysis to understand user needs, and developing and testing innovative designs which meet thoseneeds. Collaboratively designing interaction solutions, engaging your team in the design process Creating prototypes to test ideas and learn from. Always designing with consideration for accessibility and inclusion. Sharing knowledge across teams, making surethat your designs are reusable and consistent with the GOV.UK Design System. Contributing to, and advocating for, our Interaction Design community in DWP, across government and beyond. Your essential skills and experience: User focus: Use data from researchand analytics to understand users needs and test designs to meet them. Evidence and context-based design: Work with others to design solutions that are based on evidence and help identify gaps in knowledge. Prototyping: Use a variety of prototyping toolsand techniques. Communication: Present your work and share design decisions, explaining ideas in a way that people understand and actively listen to other peoples input. Accessibility: Design with accessibility in mind, showing familiarity with the WCAG 2.1guidelines and designing to meet AA standards. Collaboration: Work in the open, engaging others in the design process. Details. Wages. Perks. Youll be based in your choice of one of our brilliant digital hubs in Manchester, Blackpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastleor Sheffield , whichever is most convenient for you. We also have all the tools and tech to work flexibly. We operate a hybrid working model with some time in an office, and some time at home. We offer competitive pay of up to £43,347 per annum. Youll beeligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 27.9%, worth up to £12,000 a year.
