Job Description

To work within the Finance Department, to help with the smooth and efficient running of the department, in order that the department meets its targets and the Company its objectivesTo process the monthly payroll from beginning to end.Main Duties:

  1. To work safely and efficiently within the Companys Health & Safety Policy
  2. To keep the working area of the post holder tidy
  3. To ensure that you carry out all your work legally
  4. To comply with the Company risk assessment strategies
  5. To carry out all duties in an efficient and courteous manner and ensure all queries are dealt with promptly
  6. To attend company meetings and training courses as and when appropriate
  7. To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Company in order to assist the company achieve its objectives
  8. To adhere to Company methods of work
  9. To ensure that all paperwork associated with the department is completed correctly and passed to the correct department on time
  10. To adhere to time schedules and all targets where appropriate
  11. To process the payroll monthly through to payment (based on weekly and monthly information from managers)
  12. To prepare and submit payroll reports to the relevant reporting agency
  13. To perform annual payroll reconciliation and end of year summaries
  14. To assist with payroll related balance sheet reconciliations
  15. To ensure the daily system backups are carried out
  16. To assist with coding of purchase ledger invoices
  17. To prepare the monthly supplier payment run
  18. To ensure bank detail changes are processed in line with Company policy
  19. To assist with posting of purchase ledger payments
  20. To file all paperwork as required and assist with general support of the purchase ledger function
  21. To collate, distribute and post credit card transactions on a monthly basis
  22. Insurance claims management
  23. Maintain the company vehicle register
  24. Maintain the motor insurance database
  25. Maintain company mobile phones
  26. To carry out any other accounting duties as may be required by the Company in order to assist the company achieve its objectives
