Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available, we are now recruiting for a Part Time Parts Delivery Driver to join our busy team at Longbenton depot.Here at Bell Truck and Van we all strive to be the absolute best and offer our customers the highest level of service. This role will be to work within the parts department and to help with the smooth and efficient running of itYou will collect and deliver parts to customers and between depots and ensure efficient delivery of all parts orders to our customers around the North East and Scotland.Key duties:

  • To deliver all goods in line with predetermined delivery schedules
  • To accept all parts returns from customers and issue goods return notes and pass all parts to parts advisors.
  • To complete daily delivery sheets for each visit and obtain a customer signature for the receipt of the goods/invoice, and payments
  • To accept customer orders as required and pass on to parts department.
  • To highlight any shortages or damaged items to the Parts Supervisor, and ensure that the missing items are found and loaded/ to arrange for invoices to be amended
  • To ensure that the company vehicle is maintained in line with both company and legal requirements, ensuring that any mechanical problems or accident damage is reported immediately
  • To meet and greet and handle the customers in a prompt, helpful, pleasant and efficient manner, maintaining excellent customer relationship at all times
  • To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Company in order to assist the company achieve its objectives
  • To work safely and efficiently within the Companys Health & Safety Policy
  • To comply with the Company risk assessment strategies
  • To carry out all duties in an efficient and courteous manner and ensure all queries are dealt with promptly
  • To attend company meetings and training courses as and when appropriate
  • To ensure that all paperwork associated with the department is completed correctly and passed to the correct department on time
  • To adhere to time schedules and all targets where appropriate
  • To ensure that all goods are loaded and delivered as required, heavy lifting required to stock Van before delivery
Position type: Part Time / PermanentHours: 2 days, 3 days alternate weeks. 8:00 - 16.30, every 4th Saturday 8:00 to midday.
