Job Title: Junior Design Engineer Location: Bedwas Salary: £25,000 per annumHours: Full time Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm Friday 8am - 3pm full time permanentHere at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a Junior Design Engineer to work for a company in Bedwas on a full time permanent role.Due to continued growth, one of the UKs leading Fencing Contractors is currently seeking a Design Engineer to work full time out of their South Wales office.Key Skills

Create Detailed drawings for issue to manufacturing
Ensure designs are within budget by working closely with our estimators and sales team.
Design cost effective solutions utilising standard components and manufacturing techniques wherever possible.
Create long term working relationships with our customers by delivering a strong value based offering and exemplary customer service.
Consult with customers at site to understand their needs and requirements.

Required Experience

Mechanical engineering background with design knowledge and relevant qualifications is essential.
Ability to hand sketch and measure at customer sites.
Working knowledge of 2D Auto-CAD package.
Capacity to learn on the job and implement learning as required.
Able to plan time effectively to maximize daily output.
Flexible approach to working to ensure the job gets done.
Excellent people skills both internal and external.
Comfortable working under their own initiative and working as part of a team.
Sound verbal and written communication skills.
