Job Description

Job Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: BedwasSalary: £45,000 per annum permanentHours: Full time. Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm Friday 8am - 3pm.We are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to work for a client of ours based in Bedwas.Deliver sales revenues in line with company budgets and targets by developing existing and new customer opportunities and relationships. Focusing on the sectors and product groups identified in the strategic business plan. Support all staff and departmentswith technical and compliance guidance.Main Job rules:

  • Target specific sectors and end users to maximise revenues in our core markets
  • Deliver and exceed all agreed KPIs and financial goals
  • Visiting customers 3 days per week with target of 2 visits per day minimum where possible
  • Manage and be accountable for your own financial metrics, pipeline & forecasting
  • Consultation with customers regarding regulations & compliance to the current standards
  • Offer suitable safety solutions whilst promoting Procters full range of services & capabilities
  • Identify potential new feasible revenue opportunities within the safety related industry
  • Feedback market information, competitor activity and general trends
  • Input to marketing campaigns and other sales and brand awareness drivers
  • Produce basic sketches & drawings for budgets quotations
  • Develop commercial knowledge to be capable of basic estimating and costing
  • Ensure yourself and the business stay up to date with all regulatory and compliance standards
  • Work collaboratively with design, production and sales to ensure effective and efficient working
  • Attend industry specific conferences and networking events and promote the Procter brand
  • Provide guidance and support on all safety matters to Procter staff
  • Travel nationally and plan time and territory effectively to maximise productivity and results
Experience required
  • CMSE accredited or equivalent (CESE with strong mechanical engineering background considered)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the industry and current/future legislation
  • Manufacturing/Engineering experience and understanding
  • Proven track record of sales success in a safety related role within multiple industries and sectors
  • Consultative "needs satisfaction" solution based sales experience advantageous (training will be given)
  • Full driving licence
