Job Description

Robertson Bell are pleased to be supporting an intricate Government Department to recruit an interim Commercial Manager on an initial 12-month contract. This role will be worked on a hybrid basis from one of our clients office locations across London, Birminghamand Manchester.The organisation is undergoing wholesale change to their Estate, moving office locations in 2025 and futureproofing in the process. As such, a highly experienced procurement professional, with expertise in Facilities or Estates, is required to support theprogramme.The Commercial Managers key responsibilities will include:

Procuring suppliers for; Construction Works, Professional Services, Estates Management Services, Furniture and Audio-Visual Equipment
Developing commercial documentation including the ITT Pack, Cost Model, KPIs and Service Credits Model.
Using performance and spend data to analyse contracts and reporting requirements.
Adhering to the Cabinet Office Sourcing Playbook, Spending Controls and HMT approvals when required.
Ensuring activity supports delivery of programme objectives and takes account of cross government initiatives, market developments and corporate social responsibility.

The successful candidate will be:

Be MCIPS qualified with significant experience working on similar procurements (Faciilities or Estates), ideally within the Central Government or wider Public Sector.
Extremley knowledge of, and experienced in, procuring fit-out contracts, using NEC4 and JCT.
A strong communicator with excellent communication skills and an analytical approach to work.
