Job Description

Operations Support Engineer An exciting Software/Tech Vendor who service customers in the retail space. Pivotal role in the business/Exciting projects in a growing teamOffice: Liverpool based office - HybridPackage: £26,000 - £30,000

  • Do you have experience supporting a service desk
  • Do you have experience training and supporting POS/Retail Hardware
  • Do you have experience in the Retail sector
  • Do you want to work for a market leading retail software provider
We are working with a market leading business in the retail industry who have over 18 years experience delivering software, hardware payments and services to over 11000 retail locations. They are currently looking to recruit an Operations Support Engineerthat will provide support internally as well as provide project support for the organisation.Operations Support Engineer - Responsibilities
  • Supporting and resolving tickets that cant be solved by the first tiers of support using Service Desk logging systems.
  • Providing training both internally and externally on new operating systems, technologies, and hardware.
  • Maintaining a level of interest on current hardware and software offerings to possibly add to the businesss product portfolio.
  • Supporting the service desk with retail hardware/network related queries.
  • Supporting other areas of the business with projects by drafting technical specifications and answering any related queries.
  • Supporting the businesss own infrastructure.
Operations Support Engineer - Experience Needed
  • IT or computer science related degree or similar or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience of service management techniques ie ITIL
  • Experience supporting retail related POS/Hardware.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active directory.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 and above
  • Experience with SQL Server Administration.
  • Experience with VOIP solutions.
  • Understanding and experience with Networking and Switches.
  • Very strong experience with as a Sharepoint Admin.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
