What its like to work here Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll lead and encouraging your operations and experience team, as well as our many portfolio staff and volunteers, in how they can play their part. Youll be a member of the property leadership team playing a key rolein shaping and influencing our future across the whole portfolio.We’re a busy property in the National Trust welcoming over 200,000 visitors per year and theres so much potential here for you to make a difference for people and our place. We have an ambitious 10-year plan to grow Knightshayes as a visitor destination,with our twentieth century woodland gardens and Burges designed house at the core of that.For more information about our property please visit knightshayes-court What youll be doing You’ll play a strategic role, leading the experience & operations team you’ll set and deliver plans, ensuring innovative planning and partnerships are in place to deliver and improve the visitor experience across the portfolio. Workingclosely with the General Manager youll be responsible for delivering areas of the business plan, long-term planning, and the operational day-to-day delivery for the visitor welcome and experiences. You’ll work with a wide variety of external partners in delivering your work and you’ll enable a wide range of visitors to have outstanding and inspirational experiences through the quality of our welcome and the engagement with our conservation work. We alsowant you to champion making everyone welcome, demonstrating inclusive leadership, and actively working to diversify our staff, volunteer, and visitor profiles. You’ll lead our fundraising and work to connect our visitors, volunteers, and members to our cause,through fundraising events and programming and partnerships.
