Job Description

Our highly reputable client based in Aberdeen is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.The purpose of the role is to retain existing/current customers as well as developing and attracting new customers. Responsible for learning and selling current services and new services. Winning new business, keeping abreast of market intelligence, providingeffective communication of changes within the market sectorKey Responsibilities Proactively support and embed a generative safety culture Generation of profitable new business Actively and consistently seek new customers Visit customers and potential customers to develop new business relationships Identify new leads, follow up, develop, and close the deal on new sales opportunities Provide technical support Delivering Sales presentations Contribute to the preparation of quotes and tenders, with technical writing and commercial pricing strategies Contribute to the management and negotiation of commercially sound contracts and projects Contribute to ensure that proposals meet customer requirements and expectations Contribute to ensure optimisation of commercial opportunities Maintain awareness of market trends and opportunities, gathering and effectively communication market intelligence Contribute to business plan including budgeting and forecasting Gathering information, reporting on competitor activity, and pricing strategies Meet established sales budget goals Achieve key metrics as agreed with line manager Population of customer engagement within CRM system, detailing appropriate updatesQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience Business or scientific degree or equivalent industry experience.
