A rapidly growing technology company is developing an innovate and patented powertrain unit. At an advanced stage of the development, they have a new vacancy for a Test Engineer to join the growing team. An experienced Engine Test Engineer you will workwith external suppliers and internal teams to define all the test requirements and run test cell activities.Commutable from: Droitwich, Kidderminster, Stourport on Severn, Bromsgrove, Birmingham, Salary: £ 40,000 to £ 50,000 p.a. + benefits The RoleOversee and manage the day-to-day operation of the production engine test cell.Ensure all Health and Safety and quality procedures have been adhered toRun the test cell using a mix of automated test cycles and manual operation leading into more complex tasks with support from Engineering teamsTake ownership of the test piece, equipment and hardware in the test cellContinue and improve initiatives to reduce waste and optimize efficiencySupport testing carried out by external test houses.Carry out test data analysis, derive conclusions and influence design decisions.Perform hazard analysis, risk management and DFMEA for components and systems as required.Effectively logging, monitoring and retesting all defects found during testingEscalate any issues likely to affect the project scope or timescalesResponsible for setting up and operating measurement equipmentThe candidateStrong understanding of gasoline and diesel engine operationPrevious experience of managing an engine test cellExcellent understanding of engine fundamentals and related systemsAutomotive fault diagnosticsAbility to work with minimum supervision and instruction following completion of probationary periodEnsure Health and Safety procedures and practices are followedOrganised with good communication skillsInterest in emerging technologiesTo apply, please send a CV to Jarrod Seller
