Job Title: Health Care AssistantsSalary: £10 per hourLocation: KidderminsterProSkillz LTD are recruiting Healthcare Assistants to work in a 3-4 bedded Residential Care Home to support adults with learning, physical, sensory and communication disabilities in the Kidderminster area.We are supporting to recruit enthusiastic, friendly, positive, caring, self-motivated Health Care Assistants who have the drive, personality, and reliability to make a real difference to the service users lives. The role will involve supporting clientsin Residential Care Homes or at the day service to enable the service users to participate in activities.The Ideal support worker will:- act as a key worker for service users.- ensure all service users needs are being met, whether that being personal care, physical, emotional, cultural, social and cognitive.- deliver support with all services provided when required by clients.- liaise with visitors and deal with general enquires and liaise with parents, carers, residential staff and outside agencies when required- Ensure medication is prompted/administered in accordance to organisational policies.- Encourage service users to make informed choices/decisions about their own lives and the services offered- Use Makaton, Deaf-Blind manual, and other communication methods to ensure the participation and involvement of all service users in the design and delivery of services (if not proficient in these skills, training will be provided and is mandatory).Essential Skills/Experience/Knowledge and Qualifications:- NVQ/QCF level 2 or 3 in Care or equivalent- Experience working with people who have Autism, ADHD visual impairments, multiple disabilities or have communication difficulties.- Able to understand communication, social and life skills issues.To apply for this exciting Health Care Assistant vacancy please send an updated CV and we will be in touch with shortlisted applicants only as our client would like to fill this position asap.
