Job Description

Excellent opportunity withina family-owned business, for an experienced Composite GRP/Fibreglass Trimmerearning between £10 - £11 per hour, based in Kidderminster.Quantum Mouldings Ltd is a key player in the supply of finished GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) parts, supplying many markets including automotive, industrial, marine and advertising industries.Quantum had an annual turnover of £2.65millionin 2019and employ around 40people on their Kidderminster site.We are looking for an experienced and reliable, GRP Trimmer for our manufacturing site. The right candidate is expected to have experience using air driven grinding and cutting tools for trimming fibreglass parts accurately to size. This is a full time role, although consideration will be given to flexible hours to suit the right candidate.Key Elements of Role

  • Trimming edges from moulded GRP parts;
  • Grinding of edges and features to part specification;
  • Maintenance of cutting and grinding tools;
    • Working in a trim booth with full extraction, PPE is an essential element of this role, and at all times while trimming you will be expected to wear PPE which includes steel toed boots, full cover overalls, air fed mask and safety gloves. All tools and appropriate equipment will be provided, as well as all necessary PPE.Qualifications required:
  • Experience in accurate use of air fed cutting and grinding tools (typical accuracy required +/- 1mm on part edges);
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a manufacturing environment with stringent health & safety procedures;
