Job Description

CHILDREN’S SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY BASED AT FRANCHE CLINIC, KIDDERMINSTER AND KINGS COURT 1, WORCESTER Assistant Practitioner - Speech and Language Therapy Band 4 37.5 Hours per week Are you looking for an opportunity to join the NHS and work within Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Services We have a Band 4 assistant practitioner role within our highly motivated and innovative team based in West Worcestershire (Wyre Forest, Worcester and Malvern)We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic practitioner with a commitment to collaborative working to join our Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service based in Worcestershire.We are a well-established team offering a range of services for 0-19 year olds. We have a post working within our early years and school age team in West Worcestershire, working alongside speech and language therapists and other speech and language therapy assistants to deliver universal, targeted and specialist level services. The post will involve working across all three of our districts – in Malvern, Worcester City and in the Wyre Forest.We are looking for a good team player who can be flexible and a supportive member of the team.As a county wide speech and language therapy team, we offer:

  • a strong commitment to supporting personal and professional development with ongoing mentor support, supervision and CPD opportunities
  • in house training and support with the expertise of nationally recognised therapists employed by our team, including Language for Learning (Emma Jordan), Teaching Children to Listen (Jacqui Woodcock and Liz Spooner) and Word Aware/Language for Thinking (Anna Branagan)
  • a central base for all staff, with excellent administrative and professional support
  • a progressive approach to service delivery and evidence-based practice, licensed with The Balanced System™
