Job Description

We are recruiting for a Research Technician to join our client based near Kennford. Our client is the fastest growing UK Research institute with some of the world’s most influential scientists.As a Research Technician you will be supporting the set up of their new microbiology facility. You will have day-to-day input of running the technical facilities. You will support the Technical Manager and wider technical team to support the research projects.Key Responsibilities:

To support the technical staff, comprising a range of labs as well as microbiology
Supporting scientific activity within the microbiology lab
Training and technical support to users of generic equipment
To be responsible for Health and Safety for the building
Responsible for the maintenance of the labs
Ensure equipment within the laboratories is serviced and maintained

Job Requirements

BSc or higher in Microbiology
Over 4 years experience in a Laboratory
Experience with data collection
