Job Description

As a Product Developer, your role will be to develop new, and modify existing products, in line with written briefs, customer expectations and financial targets to create products of sustainable and repeatable quality and sustainable cost.Client DetailsWell known branded and own label food businessDescriptionThe key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Project management of NPD and EPD initiatives for both the own label and branded sides of the business
  • Attending customer meetings in a support role
  • Attending supplier sites for product and technical development sessions as needed
  • Generating sample submission forms and specification sheets as required
  • Gathering market analysis data such as store visits and pricing
  • Managing Customer critical paths across a range of different product formats and interacting with the Retailer Development Manager and Site as appropriate to the project
  • Artwork checking and sign off on behalf of Monty Bojangles and Site as required.
ProfileThe ideal candidate will have a background in:
  • Ideally experience in an FMCG environment either with a UK retailer or a supplier to this sector.
  • Proven track record in developing new products/ranges through to finished products essential.
  • Experience with working within a BRC System an advantage.
  • Project Management qualification would be an advantage although not essential
  • Food science qualification or the ability to demonstrate a food science background gained through experience would be an advantage.
  • You love food and you love food trends and can bring inputs in your personal life to bear in your working life.
  • Proactive with bags of initiative; if something can be made better you actively challenge the status quo and show how it can be improved.
  • Love change and constant evolution in a fast-moving pressured environment
