Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a rare and exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to work for a professional, family run company located near to main transport links in Kenley. Our client offers 24-hour support to children and young people in their residential homes, semi-independent and outreach units based across South East London.Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (depending on experience)Location: Kenley / HybridHours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (Mon, Tue & Thu in the office, Wed & Fri work from home with some flexibility required)The successful candidate will have gained previous HR Administration experience working within a fast paced and pressurised environment. You will have experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and ideally will hold experience of using new systems.You will be highly organised, accurate and have the ability to multi-task.   • Experience in advising managers and staff across a range of HR policies and procedures
  • CPID Level 3 or working towards
  • Good understanding of employment legislation
  • Exposure to Microsoft Office packages - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure and to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met.
What will your working week involveIn this role you will provide a professional HR administrative service to the organisation, including but not limited to:Recruitment
  • To support the recruitment process in line with the Company’s Safer Recruitment Policy (training will be provided)
  • To support the Company’s on-boarding programmes for new starters
  • To log annual leave and sickness absence and inform Payroll within approved deadlines
  • To create and maintain staff and agency profiles
  • To co-ordinate relevant paperwork for all starters, leavers and transfers for monthly payroll processing
  • To produce letters and documents relating to all staff in accordance with company standards
  • To ensure all staff appraisal documentation is sent to Managers for completion in September each year, and follow up to ensure they are returned by set deadlines
  • To co-ordinate disciplinary and welfare paperwork in conjunction with the HR Manager
Training and development:
  • To update and implement the Core Development Programme in conjunction with the HR Manager
  • To maintain the Company’s training matrix
  • To identify and implement individual staff training needs in conjunction with the HR Manager
  • To identify suitable training companies and venues
  • To obtain confirmation of completed courses and place certificates on file
  • To book venues, equipment and refreshments for face-to-face training sessions
Finance and Payroll:
  • To inform payroll of any changes that will affect staff pay in line with cut off dates
  • To work in conjunction with Accounts/Payroll Department to ensure agency profiles are received, completed, and on file.
DBS Management
  • To maintain the Company’s DBS platform
  • To ensure update subscriptions are maintained
  • To carry out DBS audits as directed by the HR Manager and to carry out 6 monthly DBS Update checks when they fall due
