Group R&D Project Engineer - KemsleyDS Smith are currently looking for a Group R&D Project Engineer to join them at our site in Kemsley.This role will develop selected projects from creating a project definition via proof of concepts (PoC) or pilots into business implementation. The role will also take part in other projects run in the Group R&D team, work closely with the other members in the Group R&D team as well as with key persons in the organisation.The key responsibilities associated with the role will include the following;Project Management:o Propose, plan and execute projects as agreed with manager and available steering/reference groupso Carry out baseline field technical work, designing and developing solutions for project success in the businesso Develop project framework and project deployment information, preparing projects for hand-over to the businesso Help to drive the projects to set timelines and within budgets agreed in conjunction with the businessWork areas 2020-2022:o Develop the competence within key project areaso Support and carry out lab & field studies across the businesso Develop best practices and new strategies within project scopeWhat we would like our candidate to have…o Degree level in a technology fieldo Project Management experienceo Experience in industryKnowledge Of:o Manufacturing process of paper productso Recycling process and fibreo Technical laboratory and measurement skillso Project Management track recordo Workflow and Data architectureo Excel, PowerPoint, MS projecto Fluent English language proficiencyKnow-how:o Team worker, structured and involvedo Hands-on, pragmatic, results orientedo Self-starter and business results driveno Networking across management layerso Open-minded and creativeo Developed curiosity, interpersonal, communication and animation skillsLocation: Kemsley.
