We are committed toempower people to rebuild their lives and regain independence.The service you will work in….Hestias Highbury Grove Recovery House is a recovery focused and psychologically informed 12 bed residential house where adult (18+) residents of Islington and Camden can stay for up to 14 days, if they are experiencing a mental health crisis. During theirstay residents can expect high quality, non-clinical support from trained staff to reduce their crisis and make plans to avoid future crisis, using a range of interventions including 1-1 support, safety plans, wellness & recovery action plans and social prescribing.Re-settlement and Re-integration Workers support the people using the service link in with statutory and other voluntary sector providers and access the local community. You willsupport individuals in line with the principles of the Hestia Approach (anintervention strategy thats helps service users reconcile themselves with their own intrinsic value) throughout their stay, ensuring that Highbury Grove is co-produced with the service users as well as other local community and statutory organisations.A day in this role looks like….As a Resettlement & Reintegration workerat Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our complex needs service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • Engage with Service Users on a 1-1 basis to undertake needs and risk assessments in order to co-produce action and support plans to support the Service Users journey through recovery and to access and maintain independence.
  • To provide practical help and support in areas such as budgeting, nutrition, health care, life skills and activities etc.
  • Find engaging ways to support Service Users to build confidence, personal worth, motivation, emotional well-being and a positive work ethic.
  • To work alongside Recovery Workers to ensure that Service Users mental health crisis is managed, and they have the tools to self-manage future crisis.
  • To liaise with clinical staff e.g., Home Treatment Teams to ensure you are fully aware of the needs of the Service User.
  • Accompany Service Users, where needed, to meetings or appointments where they need additional support, visit service user in aftercare at home.
  • Support Service Users to complete tasks that will help them to manage their well-being.

  • Demonstrable experience of supporting people with mental health and complex needs.
  • A strong understanding of recovery approaches and principles.
  • The ability to create and deliver activities with clients which helpthem reduce anxieties, develop their confidence and self-esteem,and help them to plan for a self-defined recovery journey.
  • Contribute to the statistical data being produced through maintaining and presenting accurate and concise reports which highlight positive impacts, preventative actions and demonstrable outcomes of the service against the performance management framework.
  • The motivation to maintain consistently high delivery standardsand service user standards, even when faced with unpredictablebehavior and potentially challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of wider legislation to support people in a Mental Health crisis including welfare reform, the Care Act, Housing pathways.
  • Ability to engage clients in assessments and to co-produce,implement, record, review and audit support and safetyplans.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office systems, able to use computersystems including case management systems.
  • Understanding of basic buildings safety issues, and whatconstitutes a repair.
  • Ability to build excellent relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to workflexibly, you may be required to work some evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Ability to complete and record accurate financial transactions.
