Islingtons Childrens Social Care isdeveloping practice to help vulnerable children, young people and their families make meaningful and sustainable change in their lives. This means weareworkingmorepurposefullyandcollaborativelywithourserviceuserstohelpthem be safe and achieve their goals.IslingtonChildrensSocial Carearerecruitingafulltime,permanentReferral Officerwithin the Childrens Service Contact Team.TheChildrensServiceContactTeamisIslingtonssinglepointofcontactforallnewreferralsforbothChildrensSocial CareandthevariousTargetedServices.Itisintegralto Islingtons Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and some MASH partners are co- located with the team.The Childrens Services Contact Team is required to deliver high quality responses to incoming contacts within the requiredtimescales with the aimof achieving right servicefirst time for children and families. As a Referral Officer, you will be actingas the first point of contact for members of the public and professionals from partner agencies in the CSCT contact and referral process, but also signposting to other services within LBI. You will support CSCT Managers, Social Workers and MASH partner agencyprofessionals in gatheringrelevantinformationfromreferrers,ensuringthisinformationisinputtedaccurately and efficientlyon our electronic systemto allowprompt and effective decisions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.WithinCSCT,youwillhavethesupportofaTeamManager,twoDeputyTeamManagers, and a team of experienced social workers.EDUCATIONandEXPERIENCESignificantexperienceinanadministrativerole.Experienceofprovidingdiarymanagementsupportandminutingmeetingstoa good standardEducatedtoatleastGCSEorequivalentwithPassinEnglishlanguageExperienceofusingMicrosoftofficeapplications,includingWord,Excel and PowerPoint to an advanced levelKNOWLEDGE,SKILLSandABILITYDisplaysanawareness,understandingand commitmenttotheprotectionand safeguarding of children and young people.KnowledgeandunderstandingofChildrensSocial Care,and;
