Job Description

Our seasonal collections are brought to life using the highest-quality materials from around the world and the talents ofour in-house teams in London.Why not become a Paperchase Junior Merchandiser and role model our brand values, be kind, be playful, fresh thinking, be bold.A little about the roleThis role works closely with the Merchandisers and assists in the development of the departmental strategic plan, collaborating with internal teams and externally working closely with our suppliers.What youll do:

  • Take overall responsibility for an area within the Department, including quantities, formulate a Range Architecture, work with the Buyer to develop and deliver the strategy
  • Present own areas in trade, lessons learnt, range reviews with little supervision and make observations & recommendations
  • Manage the critical path for own areas using it to ensure deadlines are adhered to
  • Completes regular competitive shops with colleagues from the buying team and reports findings to team
  • Presents and analyses data from Monday pack for own area of responsibility. Collates data on promotions and any ad hoc areas of interest
  • Review in-season sales performance, make effective, commercial decisions to maximise sales opportunities from best-sellers and minimise risks posed by poor sellers
  • Propose Sale lines for own area - fully costed and in-line with commercial strategy to maximise sales while maintaining gross margin, linked to Outlets strategy
  • Manages WSSI - including set up and taking responsibility for own area/s of WSSI - checking sales, stock, despatch and orders/OTB on a weekly basis
  • Completes continuity ordering ensuring line cards are updated as per the schedule and orders are placed on time. Ensuring all orders placed are within OTB limits as discussed with Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser
  • Create suitable template/s to map peaks and planned pushes in response to seasonal trends/events
  • Conduct regular store visits to identify opportunities & threats, making recommendations for process improvements to support business objectives
  • Build & maintain good working relationships cross function with Buying, Logistics, Digital, Retail Operations, Store colleagues and the DC to achieve shared objectives & priorities
Do you have what it takes to become a PaperchaserYou will have:
  • 1-2 years experience working in a Merchandising Team
  • The ability to build & maintain good working relationships
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft packages to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Office 365).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to organise and prioritise work and work on own initiative with confidence.
  • Appreciation and understanding of the wider business requirements.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to achieve tasks to a high standard in a timely manner
