Job Description

Pay: Kent Range 3/4 subject to experienceStart Date: ASAPWe are seeking to appoint an experienced and well qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team of enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated staff.This position will be based in Key Stage 2 and is for 30 hours per week, term time only, starting as soon as possible. The contract is initially until July 2020 at which time the hours of the position will be reviewed.We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have experience and/or an interest in PE.The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate their ability to:

  • Support in class under the direction of the teacher.
  • Lead the class at times, for example covering teachers planning and preparation.
  • Offer 1:1 support to pupils as required.
  • Be responsible for leading directed interventions with pupils on a regular basis.
  • Support specific Special Educational needs.
  • Support the emotional well being of pupils and have previous experience of the positive impact of your intervention for groups of pupils or individuals social, emotional or mental health needs.
  • Undertake lunchtime and playground supervision duties each day.
  • Effectively and appropriately maintain high standards of behaviour.
