Management Accountant- Holywood- £34,148 per annumOur client, a local charity based in the Holywood Area, has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team.The Management Accountant will support the Financial Controller and Heads of Service with the preparation of monthly management accounts, as well as lead and support the accounts team.The position will offer full-time hours (40 hours per week) and a salary of £34,158- £38,963 dependent on experience.Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts and a written report for budget holders and Management Council Members including analysis of variances to budget Prepare annual accounts for audit, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations Ensure accurate accounting records and systems are maintained, with an appropriate level of information to facilitate review, investigation and explanation of income and expenditure including variances to budget Liaise with auditors as required Maintain and operate robust financial and budgetary control systems Review, develop and maintain the financial procedures and train staff, as appropriate Ensure that Financial Controller and Heads of Service have timely access to accurate financial reporting information necessary to facilitate their work Coordinate and complete appropriate statutory returns Assist Financial Controller with preparation of annual budget for approval by the Resources committee and Management Council Assist FC with preparation of financial information in support of costings for service provision to funders, liaise with staff as appropriate and ensure all costs, including overheads are included Ensure that all invoices are submitted to funders in a timely manner and promptly posted to the debtors ledger. Ensure all outstanding debts are collected promptly Ensure that all expenditures are incurred in line with financial authorisation procedures and that all invoices are posted in a timely fashion to the creditors ledger.
