Job Description

Join our friendly team as a Cook at Sullivan Upper School in Holywood and become an integral part of our Silver Robin restaurant.CookHolywood, BT18 9EP

  • £11.0871- £11.2879 per hour
  • 30 hours per week, 7.45 am to 2.15 pm
  • Term time working with retainer pay during school closures
Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKWith an average of over 550 meals served per day, the Cook will play a vital role in delivering an efficient and effective catering service to the school community.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals for both the secondary and preparatory departments
  • Ensure adherence to nutrition standards and special dietary requirements
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen
  • Shared management and supervision of a team of catering assistants
  • Plan and organise daily operations and budgetary management
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a cook who is passionate about providing excellent food and customer service. The ideal candidate should have:
  • Qualifications in food preparation and cooking, such as NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of nutrition, portion control, and food safety regulations
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate a team
  • Effective planning, organisational, and administrative skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
