Job Description

I am excited to be working with this client to recruit an Accounts Assistant to work in their finance team. The role is with one of the largest accountancy firms based in East Anglia. They are a business who really cares about their people and goes aboveand beyond to support team members. You will become a valued member of their business team supporting in their Northern region.Key Responsibilities include:

Assist in the preparation of accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Work closely with senior members of the team, delivering work to a high standard.
Help deliver cloud accounting services to our clients as well as providing hands-on assistance.
Have strong core technical skills and a desire to develop these further, in particular understanding sole trader, partnership and company accounts and taxes.
Maintain an up to date understanding of clients’ business.
Maintain good working relationships with client’s and their staff.
Liaise with partners and senior staff to provide a high level of client service.
Take an active role in business development and promoting the firm in the local area.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have strong technical skills in account production and preparation of tax returns. Experience using Microsoft packages and cloud accounting software is also needed. You will ideally be AAT qualified or studyingfor ACA/ACCA or candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.The company offers a very open culture, and it would suit someone who is a real initiative-taker and is results focused with a can do’ attitude. Whilst the role is primarily office based, there is a flexible working policy that allows a combination of workingfrom home and in the office.The role offers a salary starting from £25k but this can be flexible depending on experience + 24 days holiday, pension and funded study programmes if needed.
