Through their Childrens Residential Homes in Hingham, they aim to createa secure and nurturing environment where children can flourish and realize their full potential.As a Childrens Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in offering direct care, support, and guidance to children and young people residing in our residential homes. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will contribute to fostering a warmand inviting atmosphere, prioritizing their welfare, development, and emotional well-being.Key Responsibilities of the Residential Support Worker: * Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people within a residential setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.* Foster a safe and nurturing environment, cultivating positive relationships and fostering a sense of belonging.* Encourage and facilitate the development of life skills, independence, and positive decision-making.* Assist children and young people in their education, including homework support, and cultivate a positive attitude towards learning.* Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals involved in the care of the children, ensuring effective communication and a holistic approach to support.* Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.* Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision, contributing to your professional development and sharing best practices.Qualifications and Requirements: * Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential.* Compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children and young people.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external professionals.* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.* Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.* Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings.* Minimum age requirement of 21 years (due to legislative requirements).Salary and Benefits for the Residential Support Worker:* Competitive salary of £28,252 - £29,084.* Comprehensive training and development opportunities, including support towards relevant qualifications.* Generous holiday allowance.* Pension scheme.* Opportunities for career progression within a growing organisation.If you are enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the lives of care leavers and possess the necessary skills and experience for this role, we encourage you to apply.How to Apply:Please follow the instructions on this website to express your interest.
