Accounts Assistant / Full-time office based / PermanentReed Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a successful business outside Lisburn and are actively recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to support within the finance team.This is a full-time permanent opportunity, office based.This would be a brilliant opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who is eager to take the next step in their career and develop their skills and experience.Professional study support with ATI would be considered.Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will assist with the day to day running of the accountsdepartment.Specific duties will include:Ownership of the purchase and sales ledger and building and maintaining strong business relationships with suppliers and customersCheck, query and accurately input supplier invoices into the finance systemCode invoices to nominal ledger and service jobsReconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a professional and timely mannerWork with Parts and Service Teams to resolve any parts issues, price, and quantity variancesPrepare BACS payment runsHandle all purchase enquires with suppliersRaise sales and job cost invoicesPost payments and assist in management of credit controlRun monthly customer statementsAssist with customer and intercompany enquires in a professional mannerCompletion of bank reconciliationsAssist the Financial Controller with fleet management and stock managementAssist with financial reporting and analysisAssist in the preparation of VAT and Intrastat returnsContribute to the ongoing development and streamlining of the accounting systems and proceduresMaintenance and upkeep of filing systems and recordsAny other Administrative dutiesCritical Skills Required:Attention to detail, inquisitive mind, and ability to work to tight deadlinesStrong communication skillsAbility to work within a teamStrong IT skills and able to support with system implementationQualifications and Experience required:1-2 years previous experience within a finance roleExperience working with stock and job costing an advantageIf you are looking for job security and a happy working environment, have previous accounts experience and are eager to develop your experience, please get in touch with Lizzy Lyons on and email an up to date cv to
