Job Description

  • Job Title: Welding Equipment Service Engineer
  • Location: South Yorkshire
  • Territory: South & West Yorkshire and North Derbyshire (home every night!)
  • Salary: ££ a market leading salary and benefits package

Key Duties:
  • Carry out all service and maintenance activities on a range of technical welding equipment on customers premises as planned to meet the demands of the customer and company, including; services, warranties, repairs, maintenance, breakdowns and product commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships by providing premium solutions and ensuring that work is completed to a high standard of quality and within agreed timescales.
  • Promote the sale of additional parts, spares and maintenance/service contracts to existing customers to maximize service revenue.
  • Manage stock levels carried.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong ability to diagnose electrical circuits and electromechanical systems.
  • An understanding of welding processes and ability to operate automated welding equipment safely; skill in using hand and power tools.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints, weld symbols.
  • Ability to develop and document procedures.
  • PC literate in MS Office applications, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate with customers and arbitrate difficult problems.
  • Willing to travel domestically, must possess a full drivers licence.
