Job Description

Role : Maintenance Engineer ( Mechanical OR Electrical )Location : Rotherham Salary : To be discussed upon application Hours of work : Monday - Friday DAYS The role of a Maintenance Engineer will include..- To ensure all job changes are efficiently complete within the agreed time scales for inspection and packing machinery as well as reactive and planned maintenance checks.- To ensure the machinery is maintained in a safe working condition and operating at optimum performance after any setup.- To provide an effective and efficient breakdown service and repair of any cold end equipment identifying and sourcing machine spares required from the engineering stores or supplier.- To provide effective and efficient preventative maintenance service, via checks on machinery and job change parts for any signs of wear or possible future breakdown.- To provide out of hours and weekend support as appropriate to give breakdown service and job change set up.- Any other reasonable duties requested within skill setKnowledge and Skills required for the role of a Maintenance Engineer will include..- Excellent communications skills- Extensive PC hardware / software skills preferred- Flexible and Self motivatedQualifications and Training required to be a Maintenance Engineer will include..Apprentice trained electrical / mechanical engineer ( to City & Guilds / BTEC Level 3 - Minimum )Previous experience of a production / manufacturing environment Knowledge of fault finding, installation and maintenance roles An understanding of electro-mechanical equipment operations Experience in an FMCG industry is preferred
